What's new in Dime.Scheduler: July 2024 update

The summer holidays are in full swing up here in the northern hemisphere. While customers and partners are taking well-deserved time off, we are using this relative calm to start new initiatives and wrap up other projects. I'm pleased to announce that a new update of Dime.Scheduler has been published.

Among the 33 items included in this release, the most noteworthy are:

  • Styling tweaks to maximize the space for using the planning components.

  • Additional API endpoints such as the creation of new users.

  • New API capabilities:

    • Calendars and pins assigned to resources are reset to the default value when administrators remove the parent entities.
    • The site address coordinates of jobs are reset when any site address fields have changed.
    • The 'Request Type' parameter has been added to the Action URI API.
    • Additional checks for empty date and datetime fields.
    • Manual appointments can now be created.
    • The 'Resource No' field is optional for appointment updates.
    • The 'Planning Quantity' field can be set to 0 when the 'UseFixPlanningQty' field is used.
    • The capacity for a resource can be set to 0.
  • Our OpenAPI specification is now publicly available and can be viewed at https://api.dimescheduler.com/docs.

  • HTTPS binding support for on-prem BC and NAV instances.

  • Quick start PowerShell scripts to deploy:

No action is required from our partners; the update has been deployed and is available on both the sandbox and production environments.

A new version is already on the way and updates will be made available to the sandbox environment soon, so stay tuned for more!
